MORE THAN A SCHOOL

Welcome to the CEA Family

Conchita Espinosa Academy™ is a fully-accredited, co-educational independent private school for grades K3 through 8th. Since 1933, Conchita Espinosa Academy™ (CEA) has followed founder Conchita Espinosa’s vision of education, The Espinosa Method™, which is designed to ignite students’ curiosity and encourage their love of learning. CEA offers students a strong academic foundation and immersion in the arts and humanities from an early age in an intimate environment that supports students’ development and helps them grow to become well-rounded, creative, and confident individuals.

About CEA

K-8 Education

In a K-8 educational setting, children can remain “young” and preserve the sacredness of childhood for the entire period of childhood. Students grow from being the youngest at our Miami private elementary school to taking on leadership roles as the oldest, giving them an opportunity to serve as role models and thrive with a vibrant sense of community. The result is greater confidence, self-esteem and a sense of belonging, which translates into stronger academic performance at a developmentally appropriate pace.

.

Early Childhood Education

Our early childhood program provides students with the opportunity to develop the natural curiosity and sense of wonder inherent in all children. We work to create experiences that enhance intellectual, emotional, social, and physical growth while honoring the unique time in life known as childhood. Students are…

The Espinosa & Method

“To reach a child’s soul one must know him, guide him and especially, love him.”
– Conchita Espinosa

The Espinosa Method

The Espinosa Method™ is designed to ignite students’ curiosity and encourages their love of learning, equipping students to face the joys and challenges of life.
CEA aims to develop the whole child by educating human beings who are disciplined in their studies, passionate about their individual talents, aware of their social responsibilities, and who have a knowledge of and appreciation for the arts.
At Conchita, students learn by living and experiencing numerous facets of life – from academics to sports, CEA’s signature Mastery Program, the development of character, and the integral role of the arts in human development. Students seamlessly navigate from a dynamic school day to the Conservatory of the Arts, giving them the opportunity to experience more than a school.
The K-8th grade educational model is at the center of The Espinosa Method™. Respect for the child and an understanding of the importance of the sacred years of childhood are foundational to its success.

MASTERY PROGRAM

The Mastery Program is a unique experience that inspires students to discover and further develop and area of focus and passion during specific learning periods. From dance to track, music to cooking, visual arts to S.T.E.A.M., cinema, writing, and more, students take time to reflect on their personal areas of interest and ability, and undergo a placement process into the most appropriate mastery program for them at that time.

CONSERVATORY OF THE ARTS

At CEA, the visual and performing arts are a central part of the curriculum. Beyond their intrinsic value, the arts serve as an important conduit to learning important life skills. Through the arts, students are afforded multiple opportunities to finetune their judgment, create, and stretch their senses.
